Note: A student who has passed the B.Sc. Examination with
one or more of the subjects mentioned at (b) above would
be admitted to the Dental Course if he had passed the
remaining subjects of the Medical group (Physics, Chemistry
& Biology) in the Pre-University / Intermediate
examination.
The candidate should have secured not less than 50%
of marks on the aggregate of the above subjects in the
qualifying or competitive examination conducted on similar
lines as the qualifying examination conducted by a competitive
body. * For Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes, the
minimum marks required for admission shall be 40% in
lieu of 50% for general candidates. (* Approved by the
Government of India vide their letter No. Z.22025/1/82
PMS dated 6-11-1982).
The candidate shall be medically fit.
Method of Admission:
The candidates who have qualified
the "Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test
(EAMCET)" examination conducted by the Government
of Andhra Pradesh will be selected by selection committee
appointed by the Vice-Chancellor, NTR University of
Health Sciences for admission into BDS Course.
The allotment of seats is as under:
i) Free Seats - 50%
ii) Payment Seats - 35%
iii) NRI’s Quota - 15%
The NRI Quota seats will be filled by the Management
of the College.
Reservation / Preferential Allotment of Seats:
Reservation of Seats for SC/ST
for admission to BDS Course:
For SC Candidates…15% of the Seats
For ST Candidates…7 1/2% of the Seats
(Vide Government of India, Ministry of Health’s
Order No. U. 12011/7/90-ME (P)/ PPH dated 6-2-91).
The reservation and preferential allotment of seats
will be done on the basis of "Regulation for Admission
into first year MBBS/BDS course by NTR University of
Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh".
Reservation for Women:
33 1/3% Seats in Statewide institutions and in each
local area for non-statewide institutions are guaranteed
for women candidates in each category.
